You won't have to deal with a long commute when you live in Greenville, either. Easy access to the I-85 corridor makes it easy to get anywhere you need to go. The area also has its own airport, as well as an Amtrak station.  

Schools

Even if you don't have children, it's worth investing in a city with top-rated schools. Luckily, children in the Greenville area are served by the Greenville County School District, which operates 14 high schools, 18 middle schools, and 50 elementary schools. In total, the district serves 75,000 students and employs 5,000 teachers.

Greenville is also home to a variety of colleges and universities. Furman University, North Greenville University, Bob Jones University, and Greenville Technical College all offer a variety of degree programs for students seeking a higher-level degree. Clemson University and the University of South Carolina both have satellite campuses in the area, which focus on automotive research and medicine, respectively.
